Even AutoZone and other parts stores have radio installation kits to help you out. Got any friends who do stereos? Maybe they can help advise. |

You will need the GM adapter insert (Scosche Gn2200b), then any radio will fit the hole, you will also need the GM-import wiring harness adapter (Scosche brand GM05B) you should be able to get these cheaply at walmart or online. With these any single DIN radio will fit there. make sure you get connectors, the stereo you buy will come with a plug and bare wires, you have to connect these wires to the wiring harness you buy, then plug that into the dash. |

Cheap and nav in a single head unit are two words you can not use together. You car get a gps for under 100 bucks at most stores. You can also get a nice single din and in some cases a double din radio that plays cds, mp3s, usb, etc for under 50 bucks with speakers. I like sony head units and kenwood speakers myself. I got a garmin for 110 bucks a few years ago. Then once you get the radio, get the ahrness and match the colors and plug into the car. |

I have not bought a mounting kit ever. It is not hard to do a good install if you are patient and take your time to get it right. This is perfect type project for a do-it-yourself type, if you like that sort of thing. The mounting bracket that come with all new radios I've seen have folding tabs all along the edge you canbend as needed to hold the radio in place. You adjust (bend the tabs) on this plate for a flush fit so that half the radio DOES NOT stick out past the dash. A flush fit makes it look good! There will be a bezel/cover that you put on over this bracket to hide it and make it look neat. You will need to support the rear of the radio so it won't sag with some plumbers strap etc. I have also used a block of wood, but my favorite is an old sock (ewwww). |

Really any double din or single din. You can get the adapter for the opening and harness at any advance auto as well as other auto stores. In metroschults car we put in a scion radio, its a double din and used Camry connectors to wire it up. |

I'm running a Pioneer DEH-2300 single din in my 91 Metro. Its a great aftermarket swap! Powers my 8" Blast King mids and tweeters and I'm thinking of putting my subs on it as well ... Not ready to put in amps as yet
