plus a DOHC turbo setup eats 5.0 mustangs for breakfast. The swift is a leading race car in its class. Stock 0-60 a little over 8 seconds, and it doesn't take much to improve that. And a stock skid of above 0.8g its really not a bad place to start.

Award for fuel economy goes to the mid 90's Honda Civic VX hatch. 39 city 50 hwy. Actually better than the Metro's 37/44 for a 1995 model according to fueleconomy.gov. [Unless] you figure on the Metro XFI which is 43/52. Needless to say you can also find a lot more stuff for the civics to fix them up with. However, the point was well made about the Hondas usually costing more to purchase initially than a Metro. |

You have to compare the XFi and the VX. It's comparing apples to oranges any other way. Now with that said, the VX gets better economy at 65mph than the Metro could ever dream of. |
