if you remove the RETURN fuel line (smaller OD) from the throttle body
and replace it with a length of 8mm / 5/16" clear plastic line , you will be able to see the fuel going back to the tank .

if
there are lots of bubbles in that line DURING your problem , then either the new fuel pump is KAKA or
it is sucking air inside the tank because something in the plumbing in or near the fuel tank is KAKA...

another way would be to monitor 02 sensor voltage
if voltage stays low , around 100 mv during the problem , but cycles between 150 and 850 mv when the problem is NOT present
then again
you have a fuel delivery problem

remember
NEW
means

NEVER
EVER
WORKED properly

NEW
and if it says "china" anywhere on the NEW Fuel pump and it was shipped in a plain white box
it was defective before it was installed

Good idea! I'll have to remember this.
