After replacing the He*d, the Tim*ng Be1t, I was till having rough starting the car, middle plug was fouling. Checked Compress1on and it all around 180+. So taking Webbs recommendations I used the dangerous route and sprayed starting fluid around the intake..

Idle increased. Vacuum Leak. Now where.....Went to auto parts store and spent a ton of money on vacuum lines.. $5.49 total. Replaced all lines. Replaced booster clamps...I CAN STILL HEAR A LEAK. Hit ether. Still increased idle... started targeting back of intake, front of intake passenger side, driver side BOOM increase.. Just for fun I hit the EGR valve soaked it. VROOM VROOM! Grabbed some WD-40 and sprayed the valve. Sucked that white WD foam in like a banshee..Like a hungry football player starved. I am heading to the store now. I hope this is the issue. $108.00 Gamble coming up...

Thanks for the help Gentlemen. Starting to LOVE this car.

What are you buying at the parts store? EGR valve or the EGR gasket?

I grabbed an EGR Valve. Seems to have fixed my hard start, fouling plug, and such. I think I still have a vacuum leak but am at a loss where it is. One of the leaks was for sure the EGR. Now Where else could one be. I am about ready to drain the coolant, and pull the intake so I can see if I have some hose unhooked under the intake or something!!!

Would a automotive stethiscope help to find a vacuum leak? I assume not since it is designed for rattle sounds etc...

A stethescope may not help, but some tubing used like one might.

In regards to your EGR leak. Where was it sucking in the WD40? The diaphragm should not receive vacuum at idle and even if the diaphragm was torn it wouldn't leak at idle. I don't see how else it can be a vacuum leak unless there was no egr gasket.

Could your EGR circuit be plumbed wrong?

It sucked the WD-40 in right at the joint of the Diaphram and the main body. The Pist0n of the EGR. Like the R1ngs of the EGR were shot. Plumbed correctly cause NEW egr solved the issue.

Now I still have a leak. Gonna try adjusting the TPS ans see if that does it.

Interesting. Didn't know there was a seal in there. Thanks for the info.
