If it does not stall at IDLE my hunch would be your simply not giving it enough "gas" when you take off. ie it needs more gas than normal and maybe your just giving it the normal amount and lugging/stalling it? I have done it a few times. not quite enough gas "stall" embarrassed :-) hehe

if it stalls at idle there is supposed to be some device or circuit that "idles up" the engine when you do things like turn the AC on. Maybe that is not working properly.

when i step on the gas is when it wants to stall; it doesn't stall if i do it slowly

hmm does it also try to stall if you step on the cast sitting in neutral from idle. IE just rev the engine. Still try to stall?

My jeep was doing this and it ended up being a clogged cat (but it sounds like yours goes away if you can get it to not stall so that eliminates clogged cat)

on my van it did this when it was virtually out of gas. would start and run fine but as soon as I tried to give it gas Pehaaaa! out.

eventually this stopped working when it really was out of gas.

could be a fuel pump issue? but it should be running continuously so that is strange.

Welcome to the forum, lindasites! :coffee

The test for the Cat. would be to disconnect the cat at the oil filter (2 bolts) and see if it still likest to stall.

Perhaps the TPS is needing adjusting? TPS Report.

I like to ask what were the last two things done to the engine? Or perhaps nothings been done for a long time? :dunno
