any 1 have any info on the jetting and internals selection for using the weber 34 ich carb on the g10?
i just purchased a new weber 34 ich and wonder if it "as it comes" can be bolted on to run the g10 or do i have to reconfigure the jets or anything to meter the proper feul proportions for the "g10"

ANOTHER QUESTION I WILL TACK ONTO THIS IS :i want to bypass the water cooled intake/carb and heater"heater core leaks"
any 1 recomend a stright foward coolant system loop that uses the coolant tube to radiator only?ive blocked off the small nipple behind the water pump and 1 of the larger nippels the other i plumbed to the thermostat neck nipple.

This may be a better one for the "modifications section" of the forum.
You really reach into the great unknown when you do a mod like this.
For one thing, you reduce the number of people that can help you.
There is no common experience (probably) to draw on.

I'm sure you are tired of hearing these types of warnings, so I hope
you will excuse them and not take them the wrong way.

I would start with what the computer needs to run the car under various conditions,
find out if you can supply these by artifical means. I would also suggest trying to contact
Webber for assistance, especially about electrical input/needs and coolant input/needs.
I suppose you can just pypass the heater core and other intake coolant hoses untill you
find out what the Webber uses.

Are you going to go ahead and junk the computer or computerized systems?

You may want to investigate any legal considerations for modifying a 1998 car
for concerns about emmissions testing.

Your's is kind of a strange project, but I suppose these things are a little bit about fun
and experimenting too etc. One last thing though, just to be sure.....
If I may ask, why do you want to do this? It seems like a can of worms
and asking for more problems. Good luck

thanks 4 reply(sorry it took so long to anser-the lybrary i was at the last day i tried to respond wouldnt even allow me to access the site for somereason?but i am here agan and it worked this time)i rebuilt the entire engine throughout the winter"even unpluging and swabbing the passages"
then i kept having fantom problems where it simply would not run.i went through alot of utter hell trying to diagnos the car(even slepping it on a trailer and taking it to a repair shop which wasted all of one day in the hot sun just to be told nothing.
thinking outside of the box finally i started to consider the wiring after reading several post here conserning the reocurance of broken wires where theay run through the firewall due to engine movement.i hacked open the entire complete wiring harness and did not like what i saw.
the audicty the company undertook where it ran bare multi strand paino wire inside every major primary wiring group ie:the distributor wire,crank pickup sensor ,cam position sensor"knowing these filiments of bare wire would embed into the insulation and create a short predictably as if not bad anough then to wrap the entire lengths of these "nessary componants" with a foil tape ashuring at some point inbetween the lengths of these wires 2 intervals of opposing wires would "contact"and create a short circut.
woa but as if that wasnt dangerious anough to cause castrophy then theay pigtailed these said"paino wires" paralel into each corrasponding vital componant so when any of these componants shorted out it would take the rest out aswell!
safe to say i have the right to unsabatage my own property"which is exzactly what i done.@75 a pop for crank sensors,$125++ for ignitors for the distributor who could afford to keep feeding this car?
now the way i have it and "driven it"i have a old school ride that is indeed relaible"err at least when my new carb comes in...
i drove it 90 miles perfectly with a careter carb befor it "cleaned its self allowing much more feul intake as i drove it"it came off a kiser 2 ton milatery truck"flathead 6"it only cost me $5 at a scrap yard and permited me to break the car in and get a feel for what i was working with.
it ran like a sports car"very pleased indeed and eagerly waiting 4 the right carb..
