Can someone tell me what all of a sudden caused my 94 Metro w/AT,1.0 to stall everytime I put it into drive or rev?? It Idles at 1500 and when you put it in gear it putts a few time and stops. Have all sorts of strange things going on with this thing, and today now this. Has fresh tune up and I Seafoamed it and changed oil as recomended here and still stalls. Am I looking at a big fix or is something small maybe out of whack

crankcase

I would suggest doing a compression check. The tester is less than $20 from Harbor Freight etc.
It may or may not be related, but idle at 1500 RPM is a bit high.

What are some of the strange things going on that you mentioned?

In order to give better ideas of what the problem may be, please supply us with more details.

I second the compression test before you go any further.

How many miles on this ride? I am with mwebb on this one, sounds like. Idle speed is too high. Check your vaccum lines especially the one to your map sensor and see if you have a vaccum leak causing the high idle.
