Come on gang. I posted earlier needing some specs/info/part number on the inner distributor shaft oil seal. Mine is leaking under the cap, not from the normal external o ring. Surely somebody's done job this already. It's no big deal taking the dizzy apart, I just need to know where to get the seal, etc. Call me cheap or whatever, but Im not going to spring for a new dizzy just cause the seal is leaking. [If I can avoid it anyways] 94 XFI. Anybody??? Thanks!!

GMgenuineparts.com does not have a listing for it
if you dissassemble the distributor and remove the seal , there may be a teeny tiny part number or dimension set on it
other than that ...
looks like you are sol

if the distributor bushing has play , the seal will not fix the problem and you will be sol

a salvage yard distributor should not be too expensive

mwebb, thanks for the reply. Figured I'd hit the boneyard if I had to. Just like to repair stuff sometimes if possible. Know what you mean about the bushing. Good point. I haven't pulled it yet to check. Might be worn out & just wasting my time.

MM, Thanks, got it. Snagged one today at Pick a nose for $22. Small weep on internal seal also, nothing like the current one. Probably get me by till I can find a better one or rebuild the old one.
