What a great thread. First time I have seen it. Lots of great and some meh :banghead songs.

I will just post two links. Same group, same song but two very different video versions. OK Go is a very innovative self produced group with numerous really great videos. IMHO.

If you are a Notre Dame fan this one is for you. Kick it up for the big horns!

This got stuck in my head the other day...you have to hear this song at least ONCE before you die...

If that gets stuck in my head, I'd prefer to die. This guy learned songwriting from Edie Brickell, theres about 17 words in the entire song, repeated over and over and over and over and over and over................

You owe me 3:25 of my life back.

It could be worse. You could waste another 3:00 listening to this song:

:rofl :rofl :rofl

Or anything by The Meat Puppets...Kurt Cobain was supposed to have said that The Meat Puppets were the best damn band in the world...must have been before he actually HEARD them...

Cat's in the Cradle -- Great song, but that's Harry Chapin.

Here's the original "Hot Rod Lincoln", from 1955

And here's the incident mentioned at the beginning of the previous song...

All great songs. Jim Croce Leroy Brown was written about one of his Army Buddies from the S side of Chicago.
A song to add to this list is the Beatles, A day in the life. Happens to be on my local radio even as I type this.

A very unusual pairing. Old school rock meets new country.

Also someone may be able to help me. I have an mp3 of a song that I do not know the name of the artist. :smackface Don't know where I found it. Can't find any reference to it doing a search using lyrics nor title. How could I post it here to let our esteemed, widely diversified members have a listen and guess at the artist???
