Ordered an engine kit with a "valve cover gasket kit" included, didn't come with the gromets! Anyone know where these can be ordered WITHOUT getting another valve cover gasket?

I said screw them on mine and put a washer on them and silicon. Works for me.

I did something similar. I used a copper washer that fit inside the relief for the nut. The hole was just big enough to go over the stud. Then I put a small Oring on top of that and then another copper washer. Then the nut on the hole works. It did not leak a drop. And was much easier to get back apart. But you need to keep spare orings handy. As they can only be used once. This did work really well

That was kinda my deal too there Murf. I wanted something easier to take back off should the need arise.

I spoke with Bruce @ PartsDinosaur.com (Cool guy!) and he informed me that another Metro guy told him that a size 0 faucet washer works great as a replacement. I might have to give that a shot!

That's exactly what I ended up doing too. I actually glued them to a washer with arrow fletching glue and painted them. Nobody will ever know the difference!
