Don't know how it's "guaranteed to run" with no transmission, but for $500 you can hardly go wrong. Black is rare but might especially bad in Alabama during the summer. 95 will be mechanically the same as 96-00, but the sensors, wiring, and PCM will be different due to OBD2.

Headed out in a few minutes, I can't find my compression tester, but the guy said he has one. I may end up buying one if I don't feel good about using his.

Bump for advice. The interior is pretty rough, not super rough though, no stereo. Can't do a compression test cause the starter isn't...it won't mount. He said he'll deliver it for 50-60 bucks, and i'll probably take him up on that.
