Hello
I found this forum long ago but never registered. My first metro was a 94 1.0 5 speed. There was lots of useful information here to get that car going. I have sold this one and now have a 99 1.3 auto. I really don't care for the auto but the 4 door will make it a little easier for a car seat to go in the back. The car runs like a champ but smokes upon start up and when revving it. I am not sure if that is valve seals or rings. I still need to do a compression check.

You are on the right track. Is it time for a PCV valve?
