I'm going to look at a 91 Metro Convertible tomorrow. Owner claims it has be upgraded to 13" wheels. He can't tell me if it has the large lug nuts, or not, if it has indeed been change. Say he's never had the hub caps off. I thought the convertibles had 13's as standard issue. or in 91 did all Geo's have 12's? He did mention that the speedo was off. 66=70mph

You can verify for yourself what the car came with by checking the sticker on the drivers side door pillar (assuming its still intact). My 92 Vert shows it came with 165/65/13's.

Thanks all. Here the original description that caught my eye.

1991 Geo Metro convertible. 72,226 original miles. I just installed a rebuilt head and gaskets, and changed the alternator, timing belt and bearing, fan belt and water pump as long as I had it apart. Nice body and looks to be original paint. Frame is in good condition. Interior excellent. Top is ok, but has some wear and couple small tears near the bottom. Side windows have scratches, as shown in the pictures. Newer tires. Battery, brakes and exhaust are good. Nice, dependable car that gets 42mpg at 70mph. 3 cylinder 5 speed. Description of vehicle above says it a 4 wheel drive, but it's a front wheel drive. Has a CD player. Vehicle located in Duluth, Minnesota. Does not have AC, cruise or other options. Price is firm at $1600 cash.

I have spoke/e-mailed with the owner. Claims frame horns are good. I still deciding, for sure, to make the 2 1/2 hour drive to see and possibly pick it up.

This is the e-bay classified listing

Do you see any "Red Flags" that could throw a wrench into the whole deal? Other than they only have a 5 digit odometer. I highly doubt that there's only 72k on it. More like 172k.
