Holy Mackerel with the questions dude! Welcome to the forum and thank you for your service to our country. Most of these are answered already, just read around the place for a while. Sounds as if you have a good mechanic, don't let him out of your sight.Advancing the timing gives you more power, better mileage, and less soot in the exhaust. It was retarded to reduce NOx emissions at the expense of everything else. If you have emissions tests where you live, just mark the current location with a Sharpie before you advance it, then you can easily move it back for the test. Don't think there's anything special about convertible headlights, any 89-94 with composites should be the same. The only drawback is that most Metros from those years came with the other style, the recessed, sealed beams. LSI's and 'verts got the composites. |
