We who were there really didn't plan one for 2011, we spent our time talking cars, 'life, the universe and everything' or eating, with the museum visit on Saturday. I bugged out early. geminiheatrz was very gracious in planning the park location and arranging the food venue. Reno is central to Canada and Mexico, entertaining also. Everyone was kind to arrange the date around my supposed vacation. Which leaves us open to when and where the next 2011 GPW would be. Mr Murf was suggesting the Eureka area. There's a great Buddhist vegetarian restaurant just east of Ukiah, CA on hwy 222. FYI, My pics are here if you haven't seen them:

I hope you don't have to push the Dark Starr. Makes me tired just thinking about pushing it. 3 miles is a long way to push it. How many people to the mile would it get? I am game. But the car is still not ready. Yet. But I am making head way. Now I've to figure out which wire I have missed. No ignition. I'll get it. Wiring it not my strong point. Its funny. During the day, this is all I think about. When I sleep, Same thing. The one thing I am not gonna like about Bville. I hate the sun! Out there you have to put sun block on everything, including the bottom of your nose and ears. It reflects off the salt. Its like standing on a mirror on a sunny day.

What about something in the LA area? Lots of stuff to do, good food everywhere. Or perhaps the Antelope Valley (north LA county)...seems to be lots of Geo Metros still running around here... |

I live in Lancaster, near K and Division. Just north of Okie Flats. The Geo came from Palmdale, where it used to be a Barbershop sign on Palmdale Blvd. Bought it three years ago and fixed it up a little (a little Wal-Mart spray paint over the word "Barbershop" down each side, and some mechanical work to make it fairly safe an dependable) to drive to/from work daily in Tehachapi. (It was getting to expensive to drive the Town Car or the Eldo). |
