*to read my first try which ended...eh let's just say I don't have a job with them

Now iamgeo suggested I deliver pizza, I don't like the idea that much but I do like CASH money, and the times I go to school fit perfectly around this job. So i'm applying. It will be in a new city, so i'm going to be using a GPS if I get the job.

Who wants to be a reference?

Moi... a job reference? Posted Image

Maybe Johnny Mullet can be a reference as "Forum Administrator" (said in my best Pauly Shore voice from the movie Jury Duty). :lol Strike a pose when you say "Forum Administrator."

But if you think I (who can't get a real job) can help PM me. I'm not making a good case for myself am I? :P :lol

Seriously, I think persistence (follow up) and showing up with a copy of your insurance and driving record when you fill out the application would go far, as would having 3-4 local references of professional people you know - not related and who like you. Vacuum, wash and wax your car before you go. Park away from the building but near the front door (don't block customers).

It's hard to compete for a job when your competition is laid off 30 year old employees. Of course they're going to have more experience. Ughhhhh

My sister put in 20+ applications before she got even one job offer. I'm up to 15 applications, hopefully I can get one too.

They don't want one what?
Is it they are not hiring?
Have you tried more than one PH?

2 said they aren't doing "drivers" any more, the third said they had the position filled.

I'm up to 20 applications...yay!

Sounds like you are turning them off. Some of your posts come off as rude and ass like, do you act like that in person?

Id try a different approach, but I use to do 20 applications a day online and fax, then 2-3 interviews a day. Get the classified section of the news paper and look through the help wanted list. .

No I'm always super nice to future employers. I have a question though, have you missed the 3000+ posts i've made that have helped people? Just curious.

I'll go grab a paper today.

The paper will have about a 1% listing of available jobs.
It is a good idea to sign up with a Temporary service or two.
I have been with a few in the past.
What makes them really good is that you can be put to work at some really neat places.
I was a Temp. at Pace Picante Sauce in San Antonio. I was there for a year. It was a great place to work.
