Got 70 MPG?

2005 Grand Prix GTP Supercharged. 260HP and 280 ft/lbs torque at the crank. I will be modifying the car, as of right now it is stock though. I'm undecided if I should stay with the gen V M90 supercharger, or switch out manifolds and go turbo... Looking for 300HP to the wheels and I plan on stopping there at that point, the wife will still be driving the car ;)

If the wife is going to drive it, maybe you should think 500 hp :D

I really like those cars/engines. I just wish I could get that engine on a smaller platform with a 5 speed.

I know what you mean, the auto's really kill the power they make. The engines tend to sound kinda crappy though. Hopefully a full 3" exhaust will fix that problem :deal

THAT is a very nice looking car, starscream5000. Nice style, I've thought it would be a fun ride to own as a second car. ;)

I vote turbo, but I may be bias.

Thanks! I'd love to turbo it, but I'm starting to have my doubts, the lowest power turbo kit for the car is going to blow 300HP out of the water and I really don't want my wife behind the wheel of a car with that kind of power. Plus I will have to upgrade the transmission with that much power as well... $$$$

Oh, well, this adds a whole new dimension to the equation. Trying to have fun and preserve your marriage at the same time? :lol

What does The Wife want?

Mine, for example, after I said I had a burrito for lunch, said 'I wanted you to eat the two leftover slices of pizza and drum sticks for lunch.' OK, I grab a slice anticipate my lunch and hit the keyboard. Two minutes later she informs me she is eating the rest of the pizza and chicken. :banghead

Then again, your kids don't have to go to college.

Good posting Coche Blanco.

The wife doesn't really care about performance, she just wants the car to look good :)

In an effort to keep it dead nuts reliable for your wife to drive, don't go overboard with it. Doesn't someone make an undersized pulley for the supercharger unit? That will increase the boost, but I don't know how much. :thumb

There are several companies who do, but that's one of the last mods you'll do to the car. If you toss a pulley on without supporting mods you'll melt a piston or two.

Guys, steer away from buying a car from someone who still has a loan on it. It is taking FOREVER for this guy's bank to send us the title back.
