But if they do it when they get back home is it hurting anyone? I know plenty of people that get home and have a glass of wine or a beer during dinner or while watching some tv to chill out. Its the same thing. Its comparable. Some people abuse them. Pot heads and alcoholics. Though if I had to choose which to be around it would be a pothead everytime. |

i'm not against pot, but those are not comparable. a single glass of wine or a beer is going to have little effect on a person besides being a little relaxing. i have never heard of someone smoking pot but not doing so to get intoxicated. if you didn't get high after smoking it was for nothing, weed doesn't have the cardiovascular health benefits that a single drink does so noone uses it that way. |

WoW helter, Not everyone that uses pot does so to get some extreme high. Some just like to smoke A joint and relax. Just like some people like to have A drink and relax. So, yes, it is comparable. |

i understand some do it to relax. i never said extreme high, i said get high, as in feel the effects of it. when you drink a nightcap you aren't getting drunk but when you smoke a joint you are getting high. it is not comparable. |

I not only find it comparable, I find it to be two different versions of the exact same thing. You're making an awful lot of blanket statements that are completely wrong. |

I'm for legalization and I used to smoke all the time. I'm not trying to talk down on it, but they are not the same, not even close. One drink will calm you, it will improve heart health and actually increases focus contrary to popular belief ( through GABA release). It will not get you intoxicated though, you won't feel it. Not once did I or any of my friends take just one hit and say I don't wanna feel it I just wanted to smoke a little. No-one smokes without the intention of feeling the effects of smoking, plenty of people have just a drink or two but don't drink to feel the effects of drinking. having a single drink when you get home is not comparable to smoking a joint. having a lot of drinks is, but that's not what we were talking about if you jumped in half way. I think a joint would be comparable to a 6 pack or so.

There are several factors at play here. Tolerance is one of them. One joint will not affect everyone the same. Same with one drink. |

Im confused what you guys are arguin.... Weed wins due to the fact of no hangover!....lol. Really I think alcohol can be more dangerous than alcohol. some ppl tend to get very angry when drunk. I have never a person get angry when high. I think high driving is safer than drunk driving...not safe though. |
