The first $40 million of that annual revenue will be dedicated to building public schools.

One of the responses to news article, and a good one at that:
" Just because the individual State allows, does not mean the Fed will ever relinquish power. THIS condition, the desire to control the power, is at the heart of Fed vrs State rights. MJ legalization is presenting a 'slippery slope' that threatens that power structure. The 'Fight', is just now starting. The difference is it is above board, at least for the State.

The weakness. Fed authorities can and will use every method, including below board. As most informed are aware, it (prohibition), has always been about the money. For the Fed to roll over, the Fed would acknowledge loss of face and power, but more importantly money. Money that exists due to prohibition is astounding and the Fed, 'crats, business leaders, corporations, Wall Street AND drug dealers will not sit idly by as 40 billion a year in prohibition goes up in smoke. Nor the 40 billion a year in MJ sales, or the 20 billion finding a great washer machine in Wall Street. Monsanto's hold on Corn and Soy seed sales for food are threatened... which means @Roundup sales are threatened, ADM's ventures are looking at having to change, Weyerhaeuser would have to convert large tracts from Pine to Hemp as will cotton growers. Anheuser-Busch , Liqueur Taverns Real Estate Stocks Bonds Credit default Swaps.......

What to expect? As the Sec. of State, H. Clinton, was quoted to say when asked if the prohibition would ever be repealed..."No, there's too much money in it".

Gird your loins Colorado, the battle lines have been only just drawn, the battle has not started.

A democrat is in office. The fed govt won't bother those states. Now if Romney was elected, I would have expected the fed govt to stop them.

Think again horn... It's going to be a looong battle. Obama's administration has already overthrown LEGAL medical marijuana dispensaries.
