I have a 2 door 1991 Geo metro.. I want the back windows to open 4 or 5 extra inches.. How would i go about doing that? Is there a universal window hinge or something?

Why?
Im putting a system in my car, and I would like for them to open wider to let the sound out.

Some say...

Unless you are going to fabricate your own mounts and latches, there's really no way to do that.

Open the hatch then. Other people don't want to hear your sound while driving.

Welcome to the forum Kenny. Just make the music louder. We have really this body panels in our cars. So the music gets out anyhow. Have you looked at the thread from our friend Loudgeo? Remember it the music it to loud, your too old, or just going deaf. LOL

Welcome to the forum, Kenny727! :coffee

You may have to get window hardware from the hardware store and fabricate a way to attach it to the glass and frame. :hmm Could get a sun roof.

Be careful, Loud Geo had to reinforce his roof: Loud Geo Build

(Could get a sun roof.)

I have considered one of these myself!

Could just cut a couple of holes in the side of the car and mount a couple of speakers facing outward with some kind of weatherproofing and broadcast to the world with the right system.

Welcome to the site :cheers

6 philips head screws and both windows come off (3 on each side) only other way i could see to do it is fabricate your own latch system and use piano hinges so not to break the glass.

if your doing it so you can open everything and let your friends listen to the music i suggest just takeing them off. other than that the stock opening is more than enough...

when i do drive by for SPL compitition i remove the side thats faceing the meeter roll down the window and punch it. it dose well enough. but for in cab db comp or sound quality runs i close them and have ppl brace the windows as to not let pressure out. it all escapes thru my front door witch puts the pressure right where i want it.

just suggestions.
