Please just call me; "Schultz"

This is my new left hand for the net 4 weeks.
I didn't have the presence of mind to take pics of the damage I created. You aren't the first to ask for pics of the inside of my thumb.
The thumb is in a cast to keep me from stretching or stressing the tendon until it gets a chance to heal well.
The doc says not to worry about the nick in the bone, it will fix itself. (I asked her if she was gonna put some bondo in it to fill the gap I made)
She will, however, X-Ray the thumb next week to make sure I didn't fracture it.

Barb says next time we're at Harbor Freight or Northern, she's going to find me a set of Kevlar gloves and sleeves.
Probably a good Idea.

Ick!

That's what you're supposed to have your young son-in-law do for you!

I dunno what to say. Maybe the car is cursed?

I have a set of US Army Chainsaw Chaps I can give you. I bought a bunch of them to make boot inserts to protect agains landmines when I was on my way to Iraq.

the chaps have 4 layers of kevlar. It takes 22 layers to stop a .38. It takes about 40 layers to protect enough of your leg to avoid amputation from a landmine explosion.

Instead of trying to chop your thumb off to get out of work at the VMF, just get a FMLA packet for your heart problem. Then you won't have to get so drastic with your sick leave excuses.

Hang in there Schultz, your on my get well soon prayer list.

Man. one heck of a month! Glad it wasn't a lot worst. Maybe you need to sit your butt down & start watching Days of Our Lives or something. Know it's not you, but a break probably wouldn't hurt. lol

I am not into tatoos, but I have a sudden urge to grab a hand full of colored ink pens, come to VA Beach and start drawing random stuff on your cast. :D

I asked by txt if I could bring my suzuki by next Sat. Do you need my help next Saturday?

All of the above, just happy that you are OK. :)

So... pictures of the x-rays! :drool

And that is your left thumb which will be more suited for hitchhiking in European countries that drive in the other direction. Or follow Scoobs' advice. Which means you have a month to plan your hitchhikin', backpackin' hostel trip around Europe. :thumb

Yes, on the prayer list definitely.

When I visited him a few weekends ago he seems to be doing fine. I dropped off a pair of kevlar gloves and kept one for myself. His bandage was off and seemed ok. :cheers
