I just spent an hour looking for window regulators for my project car, and I can only find one supplier, Rock Auto. The price is around $125. So I'm wondering if anyone has looked for these, and found them cheaper somewhere else. I suppose I should state that I'm looking for new, and not a used one. Oops, forgot, it's a 94, 2 door. I know you are shopping for a new one but I thought I would say this anyway. You can find some pretty good regulators at the junkyard for a whole lot less than a new one. I paid about 30 for mine at a junkyard. Brought it home and cleaned it up real good and lubricated it and its as good as a new one. A part that is hidden in the door and unseen what differance would it really make as long as you had a good one? Everywhere I have worked as a mechanic always purchased news ones for whatever reasons but they paid dearly for them. Either way, I hope you find what you are looking for. . because they are prone to failure and the "not bad" used ones vanish from the P&P's REALLY REALLY fast. I had a P&P call me and tell me they just put 2 metro's in the yard. I got there 3 hours later both regulators were already gone :-) also they are prone to failure to they tend to fail often. IE it would be nice to have a source for new at any price within reason IE I have never found them new. |

The cars they place at pull a part already have parts missing when they place them on the yard. I had no trouble at all finding one in Memphis. As far as prone to failure, the ones in the door that are getting replaced were new when the car was built. Its not whether it is used or new. It was a bad designed regulator. .
