stripped wheel lug, any hope of re-threading?

any way I can use the right size thread chaser and re-threat the lug and find a nut with the correct new threads?

What is the Pitch and Thread Size of wheel lug on 1989 Metro?

Don't try to repair the threads. Replace the the stud. You can get them at any local tire or auto parts supplier for around $2 or so.

It isn't the cost the stud, it is all the R&R work to get to it.

That's the best advice CB. I wouldn't think of doing anything else on someone's car. Now if you are in a pinch or temporary on your own car there are a few things to do. I don't like to half ass anything, but in a pinch I might chase the threads or just run on 3 lugnuts. But in no way am I telling you this is a good idea. Just be as safe as you can be! :thumb

If it was stripped by the lug nut, there's not enough metal left to make working threads from, they're worn off, not just bent down.

Thats to get the lug to match.
I had one snap, I got them a week ago.
