So, who uses Facebook? If you don't use it, why not? Just curious... |

I use it to sort between various friend groups. My church, my high school classmates, and Geo Metro forum members. I don't have a single co-worker on Facebook. |

I also will not "friend" any co-workers. That would create a problem. Additionally, I don't hang out with my co-workers. Just don't believe in it... I have a lot of classmates from high school, college, family members, past professors, and friends on FB. Have to be careful, because employers, relatives, etc. look up profiles; thank God for privacy settings. |

An old friend invited me to use Facebook to keep in touch. I think she was stalking me to see if I had gotten divorced. I have contacted - briefly - old friends from high school, my Faith and from all my travels. I can't find a decent explanation on how to use the Facebook Walls. Who sees what. You are welcome to offer one. I am skeptical... So I stay off unless someone writes me. I have no need for it. My day starts with reading e-mail (checking jobs, writing friends, checking my religion forum) then I read all the new posts on our forum throughout the rest of the day. I don't need to be that Facebook chatty with everyone there. My life is not interesting.

On Facebook, at the top right-hand corner area, you just click Account Settings, then Privacy Settings, then click on Customize Settings to adjust who can see your Wall and who can't. I hate to use the word "stalkers", but that is roughly what it has amounted to for me. It's easy for things to spread like wildfire. My father refuses to engage in any social networking (especially because he's a cop) and my mother is pretty paranoid, so she refuses it too. I am careful with mine, and it's locked in certain areas. Just visit http://www.facebook.com/gotoyota when you're logged in to FB lol. |

I use it and also set up a page for this site there, but I mostly post pics of the mud truck and stuff like that. |

I am a social misfit, as I do not do Twitter or Facebook, etcetera. I find it disturbing the amount of personal information that can be found on the internet. I have no intention of adding any more to it via Facebook, et al. Out of curiosity, I did a Google search of my name once. The result was chilling! My business name and address popped up along with my home address, complete with Google maps picture( yes, the swimming pool looks like crap, but I don't swim in it in January). My father's obituary was also a featured item. Thanks, but, no thanks. I much rather have my privacy. And, yes, a high school girl friend got my telephone number off of the net and called me. Let's just say that the rest of that evening was shot to hell with the various questions of "Who is that person that you're talking to? How does she know our phone number? Why did you give it to her? (I had not given her any thing. She simply cruised the internet). Beware of these social networking web sites! |

I don't do facebook or those other things mostly because I don't see any point to them. Maybe I'm obtuse. |
