Social Studies teacher for the last 6 years but I have been with the school district for 13 years. The 9th graders have worn me down so I'm going to start Grad school in Jan to become a librarian.

My Uncle had a garage in the late 70's to late 80's. When school let out for Summer my Grandfather would make me go work in the garage. I learned a lot about cars but since I was forced to go I never really like it as a career. Joined the Army out of high school and they wanted to make me a mechanic since I knew my way around a car. Told them no and became a Cavalry Scout 19D. Left the Army and with the GI Bill I went to college. Took me a few years to get my BA in History but I got it.

People stay on the same job for 30 years because they like to eat!
That and the health insurance!

I eat great everyday and and have good insurance. And as far as job security...everyone on this whole forum is WAAAY smart enough to do lots of diffrent things. If you can really enjoy the same job(working for someone) for that long that is awsome but I just can't do it.
