Be ready to watch a "chick flick" if necessary. If you want to see things blow up real good, then once in a while you have to suffer through Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts.

convertible

Bryan, my wife and myself are in Pigeon Forge. Got here today. I drove a 92 convertible. Give me a sometimes while you are here. There are as many cars here already as any end of the year show there has been in recent years. Have a safe trip. May God bless. Shane ( Convertible ) cell 336-514-0392.

The oil, from the cap falling off the other day, apparently soaked into the timing belt. It slapped right outside of menphis. Im having to stay at a hotel across from a autozone.

Cost so far
$65 for towing
$75 for Room

So far today we've run out of gas (luckly as we were pulling in), gotten pulled over b/c our car was suspicious...in other words we look like hippies and they decided to check for weed. The alternator belt came loose and the battery died while driving. And then the timing belt broke. Wifes not mad, shes just glad I've been driving the whole time.

Convertable:

If we end up having some down time I'll give ya a call, but we are already a ay behind and the wife has a full sech of stuff she wants to do.

Sweet! Two middle of the road films, not too much stuff blowing up and not too much chick flic, just a bit of both. The Princess Bride is the better of the two.

Good thing you made a thread about tools aint it? LOL If you are not too far from Memphis and need a hand, let me know and I will see what I can do. You could have saved that money! Forgot the towing and fixed on the side of the road. Brought your tent along and camped out in the woods by the interstate for free. Man you are not thinking thrifty. 75$ for a room! Man where are you staying>? The Conrad hilton? :)

Please just call me; "Schultz"

I love the Princess Bride.
I will watch it a couple times a year with the grandson.
Then for a week he and I will get our swords and go round;
"My name is Inego Montoya, you killed my Father, prepare to die!"

Or
"He's dead"

"Eh I've seen worse"

We are in Oakland TN. I wont have the parts till 3. If I cant do it myself I'll send ya a pm. Thanks for the offer!

Ive got a auto zone, walmart, and a tacobell/KFC right across the road so I should have pleanty of supplies. I just wish I had a timing belt cover. Thats what I was waiting to get before I replaced the timing belt.

EDIT: Im staying at a Days Inn. The only non smoking room they had left was a big room with 2 beds. I joked with the wife "oh good now I get my own bed, not like we need to be close on our honeymoon" Lofl. Shes on the nonsmoking wagon or I would have just gone cheap with a smaller room.

Just got a new timing belt and a new alternator belt. Both were so bad...I had no idea how worn they were. I'm replacing both now then its back onto the road. I'm gonna putter around a walmart parking lot for a few min to make sure its all good.

Yep, I replaced all my seals, belts, and transmission fluid before my 1600 mile trek to Palooza...good preventive maintenance. Happy honeymoon, glad she's not mad. :)

I cant seem to get the belt adjuster right. Is it supposed to automatically adjust to the belt or what? First it was too loose, then it was too tight. I finially got it on set to as tight as it would go then it just came loose again. I've been at this fucking belt for hours. Ive read the guide but I cant figure out how to set the tensioner.
