What kind of HP numbers are required to make a Metro do 130? (totally off topic)
Wild guess, I would say 100 hp at the wheels.

But, as Mr Murf 59 has touched on, over 100 mph, the car is going to begin to fly, every time I've gotten to the 100 mark, things have become quite skittish, just like driving on ice.

I had a 2010 mustang at 115 and it was a little squirrelly in a gentle turn, I think the new front design catches a lot more air than the late 90's style. I'd feel better with the aero on the metro :D

Out on the salt. There are no turns. At least not until you have slowed down some. It goes pretty fast for the most part out there. But when something goes wrong. I can take a long time to get the issue resolved. One car, a bad asssed 32 Roadster. Spun at over 200mph, when his parachute opened. It yanked the whole back end of the car off the ground. Another guy blew his engine at about mile maker 5. It took a long time to get all the stuff off the racing surface. On like the next run. Someone had a rear window blow out. I did not see it happen. But I am thinking, to much body twist, to high of cabin pressure inside the car at speed. With the body twisted by torque, and a hi pressure inside. It just popped out. And of coarse fouled the racing surface. Again

Oh Yeah. Its already in the works. Its funny. Sitting at the 3 mile maker on the long coarse. Your watching cars come by at over 300mph. They go by pretty fast. You are back about a 1/4 mile. Then you see a car coming by at about 250mph. And its still fast. Then you see someone trying to make it into the 150 or 130 club. And it seems like they have an anchor tied to them. It takes a long time for them to pass you by. LOL You know they are really going pretty fast. But after 300mph+ it just seems slow.
I also noticed one odd thing. After being on the salt all day. Breathing it in. When I would go into town for the night. At the restarant. All the food tasted like salt. Way to salty. I figured it was just a bad cook the first two nights. Then after a few days. I realized. My pallet was full of salt. Funny. They don't mention those kind of things when you go there. Everything tasted like salt.
