I admit I probably didn't use the correct tool for the job. I did attempt to turn the bolt the correct direction though. It is still lefty loosey, right? I think I'm just going to ship the thing as is rather than continue to mess with it.

Well if ya wanna get the bolt off use a oxy torch and 1/2" impact... take it to a macheene shop (some NAPA stores have them) they might not charge you to take the bolt out. (They didn't me but I went back after my rebuild and gave him a 5 dollar hand shake)

Enjoy flashing the gore at the girls. The handyman's medal of honor :o)
You know you're a mechanic when you don't even notice cuts unless the blood starts making the tools slippery.

I did a real good one back in about 89. I cut the tip off my left index finger off diagonally with a razor blade trying to spice into a feul line. Yeah it was to the bone. I coverd it with a rag real quickly. It only felt like a bad paper cut. But I knew it was worse. I went to tell the shop manager. I knew it was pretty bad, when I showed him. And he passed out. Long story short. Later he had to crawl up under the PU and finish the job. He got sick all over again when he found my finger tip laying on the frame rail. LOL It grew back.

It did grow back. But had no feeling in it for 7 years. And touch is one of the things I need for fixing standard transmissions. Alot of it is how it feels.
