I've found a junkyard 92 metro with perfect window/door black trim all around. Mine's wweatherbeaten, cracked, faded, need I go on? Is it simpler to scrape and paint the old trim or can it be pulled and transferred from the other car with relative ease? |

I've never painted the rear trim on any of mine, but the trim at the bottom of the drivers and passengers windows always peels. I just strip it, and paint it. |

Yeah, what's peeling under the driver's window is a heavy, almost rubbery paint. the back window's trim is all just fading and turning white-ish istead of black. I thought if they came off easily enough it'd be easier to swap em out instead of sanding, masking, painting, etc. |

I bought some spray on "plasti-dip" for mine when I repainted them, it looks good. |

Anyone have pictures of what it looks like without the trim? |
