I agree, so what if it's his ex? Some ex's get along. Kudos Billy.

I got ya CB. It does seem a bit strange that I would help my ex. But she is the mother of my children so it would not benefit any one by talking bad of her. We were married for about 27 years. She remarried and so did I. She divorced and my wife passed away so neither of us has a significant other. One time I made a vow to take care of her. I still try to honor that in what ever way I can. I also promised to pay the loan company but that is a different story LOL Later :banana :banana :banana

Fastest Hampster EVER

My dad is a heating and A/C man. When I was down for mom and dad's 50th anniversary I noticed a bunch of checks pinned up by the telephone. I thumbed through them, $50 to $200, and noticed a lot of them were old >6 months old. he will never cash them. he knows the people he does work for and it is his way of giving back to his customers. (Also, its has a great work of mouth advertising benefit). Dad doesn't care about the money, he cares about helping someone to not get ripped off by bad guys. His customers always express gratitude for his services by giving him more money than he asks for. Sure is a great model for an entrepenure. Do more than what your customers expect and charge a reasonable price. The customers will always come back to you for more work.

^^^The only thing I don't like about doing that, taking checks and not cashing them - the make balancing the check book absolute hell for the customer. I think he'd do better to mail them back at Christmas time so that the customer knows that it was a gift.

I agree. For the conscientious, this can drive crazy! Best let them know.

Good people, though. Billy & Dad o' Dayle!!!

Grr

thats is just one of many reasons why I don't use checks. Ever

My mom and pop got divorced over 20 years ago. They are still best of friends. It was a polite divorce no bad blood.
