We want to buy a Blue Ox base plate so that we can tow our 'vert behind Harvey the RV. We found one here:

http://www.adventurerv.net/blue-bx3504-base-plate-geo-metrosuzuki-swift-p-11728.html

It fits:
1989 Metro Not GTI
1990 Metro Not GTI
1991 Metro Not GTI
1989 Swift Not GTI
1990 Swift Not GTI
1991 Swift Not GTI

My question: will this fit our 1991 Chevy Sprint convertible?

We don't actually know what a GTI is with regard the Sprint but as far as we know ours isn't a GTI.

What do you think?

the GTi is a Suzuki Swift GTi (hot rod of the Suzukis).
You have a Chevy convertible......it should fit.
Meanwhile, I see on the link you provided that there's an 'ask a question' option on the righthand side....should you want confirmation from the vendor.
Just tell them what car you have and they'll tell you if it's going to work.

Okay, I did that but no answer from the web site (??). A local rv dealer says it will definitely fit and he will install it for a mere $ 300 which brings the cost to more than the car itself. So, we have ordered the needed parts and dh will install it himself. Now, we wait. Fed Ex from Tennessee to our fairly remote part of Canada will take maybe 10 days and by that time we may have snow on the roads. Hope not.

Thanks for the help.
