I really like the idea of the lake. Maybe Eagle Lake near Susanville.

Geopalooza west 2011 sounds great,as long as there is no snow on the highway.

I5 is roughly 1400 miles long, spanning San Diego, CA to Blaine, WA.
To make it fair a geopalooza west needs to be about halfway from everyone, so I vote for Eugene.

looking at a map it seems to be closest to the center without meeting in the middle of nowhere.

Oh Gosh! I sure hope I have money and a Healthy Geo Metro as I sure would like to hook up with my Geo Buddies again. GeminiHeartz, CityConnection, BadBent, MrMurf59, Phil&Ed, Bayareametro, I Miss You Guys. And I still Have to repay Murf back as he helped me out with the motel room last April/May. Thanks Kev. I hope I can contribute in some way as I like the picnic, and hot dog and bratwurst idea. Let's do it again. As you all remember, My '90 had and Still has those EGR and TPS issues. I just got back from Elkhart IN (No, that job sadly did not work out. Worked for Free. No Can Do. Sorry, Dennis!) and my car ran CRAPPY!! I had major Sputtering Issues with my engine and the EGR and TPS are giving me major problems. So I'm hoping 2 things. I have Money and I get My Car Running Right before I head up for my next GeoPalooza. Hope to see you guys again.
