Indeed there are convertibles. I believe they were produced from 90-93. Replacement tops are available as are most parts with the notable exceptions of the weatherstriping and the tonneau type cover for the top when it is in the down position. No doubt there are other unique parts but many of the parts are shared with the hatchbacks of the 89-94 generation.

Trunk space is surprisingly adequate, a big note, the convertible is a 2 seater. Door to top seals are almost impossible to get. Everything from below the windows is same as 2 door hatch.

is the trunk as big as my 99 metro 4 door lsi? How much should i pay for it, and how much will usually cost me to rebuild the engine ( a 3 cyl must be in bad shape by now)

Just curious, but are any of the weatherstripping components folks have been looking for available on gmpartsshop.com ?

4 through 9 is available... Part # 2 in the diagram is the one I can't find anywhere, is that the one causing trouble for everyone?

I bought a 1992 convertible with 71,000 miles on it for $1400.00 in August of this year in Orlando, there were a couple others with a/c and without for
$1400.00 to $3000.00, most had more miles then the one I bought.

These cars have 5 digit odometers so without other supporting documentation I would lean toward 171k miles rather than the displayed 71k miles. a/c adds a significant power drain (very noticeable when driving) and will cost 5-7 mpg on a car with a manual transmission, consequently I use my a/c rarely. On the fun-o-meter I believe the manual transmission cars rank orders of magnitude above the automatic equipped cars. Good Luck on your search.

Being as how you don't have the documentation that I have I can understand how you might question the mileage, especially if I was trying to sell you the vehicle. That is not the case so it is not relative. The only reason I mentioned it here was Yoshiki2 was thinking that a 3 cyl would be in pretty bad shape being that old, it all depends on how it was maintained and how many miles it has on it. Or in my case how long it was stored and what kind of conditions it was stored under

By the way mine and all the other convertibles I mentioned were on Craigs list in Tampa and Orlando

Think of the trunk as being what a regular metro is up to the top of the back seats, its not going to be as big as a hatchback because its got a trunk lid, bot the width and length are pretty much the same.

He was asking in comparison to a 4 door 99, which I am pretty sure is only available as a sedan, similar to my 96 instead of a hatch back.
