lol the title is just funny, "finally got in a accident" just a matter of time eh?
I knew it was going to happen eventually, either due to my road rage or female drivers. ;)

I voted on female drivers and apparently was right! No offense to the ladies here!

A black hood would look good especially if it was flat black or you could go ricer and do a carbon fiber wrap! :cheers

We have more wrecks on this forum than the Mustang forums :shake
We should make it a goal to decrease our wrecks by at least 50% by next year :thumb

Damn, you, you're forcing me to borrow my roommate's camera to do it, lol. I don't have a camera anymore; took it to the bar a couple years ago. Need I say more? :lol

Got a gray hood from a 96 sedan yesterday. installed now.

I PROMISE I'll take some pics. You guys sure love photos! B-)

Gray was the best I could find in a location closest to me. The other two Metros were 95 and 96 and were dark red.

Got home and finally got the hood open. That metal piece that runs between the headlamps, where the airbag sensor is located on, is bent a bit. Radiator is fine, although it's not seated like it should be. Coolant recovery tank cap and some of the top is gone now. Headlamps are a little wobbly. I'm just going to do as cheap as I can.

Sounds lucky your airbags didn't go off!

Never thought of that, although I worry about getting "junk", as I wouldn't have something like EBay's buyer protection clause...

Got cut off by a Mercury Sable on Wednesday.
Cut the wheel hard and literally bounced my car off her door.
She has a ding and a black mark.
The corner of my bumper is now shiny.
We were both doing less than 15 mph.
No damage.
No cops.
Funny as hell.
Felt like a carnival bumper car ride.

I get cut-off constantly by "them". Of course, they're not using their signal when they do it. OR -- something I've never understood -- they activate the signal WHILE they're merging to another lane. Aren't you supposed to activate it BEFORE you initiate the lane merge? :lol

Also, driving a Metro, I still underestimate how much space there REALLY is between myself and the driver in front of me. Others take advantage of that space and zip right in. ;)

Glad to hear you're okay and the cops weren't involved! I always try to keep the law out of it.

I'll post photos tomorrow; my roommate has been gone all day and I need to ask him permission before I use his camera.

It would be cool to read mwebbJr's response, but he's obviously having a grand time at that nudist beach colony! :P
