going over things in the engine bay i noticed that i am missing 2 bolts (1) from the exhaust manifold and (1) from the air cleaner housing to the head and was wondering if anyone new the size of these bolts and where to get them so i can get them replaced.... thanks for any help in advance
I don't know the size, but can you remove a similar bolt or nut next to the missing bolt and take them to a car parts or hardware store and get a replacement in a high quality upgrade?

Might soak the exhaust manifold bolts and nuts with PB Blaster before trying to remove them. I added a drop of high temp. anti-seize when I reinstalled them.

hello everyone....

my engine is still going strong after 100000 miles but now I need to pull the engine and install it in another metro. my metro frame horns are in real bad shape. I just picked up another metro (89) with a bad engine so next weekend I will do a swap. anyone know of any problems ill have swapping a 94 engine to a 89 body?

thanks
Dave

unbolt the whole intake manifold and leave it in the car when you pull the bad block out. when you put the better engine in, swap the original distributor and complete intake manifold back to the new engine.

in that fashion you leave the original wiring and control set with the car. the only thing that gets swapped is the basic engine. ;)

thanks idmetro I still need to change the fuel filter and shocks but other than that ..... the cars not bad at all. I am wondering if I can change out my cluster from my 94 with the rpm tach and change it out with my new 89 ... not sure if that's doable :hmm
