I had just bought and installed a new set of tires on my 94 Metro. A few weeks later and I get rear-ended by a drunk driver and the impact bent one of my rear wheels. I didn't want to buy another steel 12" wheel, but I wanted to keep the tires I just bought, so I looked into a set of Festiva 12" alloys. Found a set on ebay complete with the center caps. They are 12x4.5,, very nice condition considering they are 14 years old. Ride has improved. the car isin't so darty at highway speeds. I almost want to say that the tire appear to stick out a little more as if the track was widened. Anyway, I was glad to ditch the steel wheels and nerdy hub caps.

Looks good, how much did you pay for the rims? If you don't mind me asking.

Very nice looking Geo, especially for having been rear-ended. You did a great job or repair. :thumb

Nice,
my wife and I were looking at different wheels for my Metro.
I like the look of those and also the dude with the Mazda RX7 rims.
When we have some extra cash :lol We will invest in some diff. rims.
Thanx for sharing.

I bought them off of ebay for $129 which included shipping.
I'm pretty happy with them.. I get to have alloy wheels and not set myself up to have my rims stolen. I am just waiting on getting my lowering springs, then I'm having the whole suspension rebuilt with new busings, KYB GR-2 struts and H&R springs. :stoner

I wanted to add some bling and not attract the attention of the local auto accessory thieves in the neighborhood.
Also had to rethink sporting some "xbox" and "blaupunkt" logos. The car has come a long way from the shape it was in the day I picked it up. I've come to respect my Metro and consider it an under rated success story. Thank goodness the A/C system has always worked. It was the main reason I bought the car and the then price of unleaded had just passed the $4 mark. I was a little hesitant to buy an automatic, but driving in heavy stop-n-go traffic is a lot less of a pain. Of course like most Metros of this era, it is a constant "work in progress" morphing every thirty days as I do something to mod or restore it's functionality.

I had a leaking rear wheel brake cylinder, so I had the entire rear brakes redone on both sides including the wheel bearings. Took the opportunity to add a little bling to the rear wheels, so I painted the new rear drums in high temp engine paint labeled "chevy racing orange". Now when you look at my sporty new rims you cant help but notice the sweetly detailed brake drums.

I'm getting ready to install an under drive pulley. Anyone have a 2-pulley under drive for a g10 they want to sell?
