got my non running metro today and pluged in the code reader got
p0340 camshaft position sensor A circuit (bank 1 or single sensor)

theres no spark from the distributer or coil.

ideas on what to test? im going to pick up a multimeter tonight to help testing

that's the sensor in the distributor, sometimes the distributor goes bad and takes itself apart on the inside. It could also be the grounds behind the intake not connecting well.

do you think the coil is bad too if its not sprking? doesnt the coil still spark if the dizzy is bad? .. not sure on obd2

Carefully check the wiring to the distributor.
allright.. i noticed the wireing felt kinda hard and didnt want to mess around with it to much lol.. ill go check for cracks or rips

you have no test results to support this UN-SWAG - do not replace the ign coil until you do.

TEST, DO NOT GUESS

your distributor cap and rotor are not looking too healthy either ....

allrighty.. im going to pick up a dizzy from the junkyard tomarrow as i know for a fact that one is... well its toast :lol: so yeah gonna get that and a new cap and rotor!
