kick ass score on everything...ok, voting huh?... that car seems to be so unmolested or damaged that i think i would just restore it. its cool just for what it is, it doesn't need flames, stripes, scoops or sunroofs to be cool. performance mods, great :thumb .... you don't really want to be the guy that molested it do you?

since its a 1.3, you should be able to source a header from many places... no SRD needed

we have passed or scraped many cars just because someone had cut a big hole in the roof. thats how we feel about non factory sunroofs.

i kinda dig the pacer wheels. when your changing tires, be sure to weigh one so we all know.

oops didn't read that one in time..

i must say that the pacer rims are considerably lighter than the steel wheels are. hell the pacer rims with the tires air and wheel weights felt to be lighter than the stripped steel wheel alone. so it will improve erm uh something i reckon over the O.E... but the pacers are the same size and have the stock size tire on it so all thats different is the weight of the wheels... and the snazzy look too B-)

She's in, and up in the air... the tires are currently off it and the steel wheels are stacked in a pile since they will be used as winter tires for the metro... and the pacers are on what is the right side wall of the warehouse... i have plenty of room to crawl under this car to hack off the hack job known as the exaust.

also i have a mess from the C.V boot being exposed and i believe i have a front main leak that i will be tending too.

NOTHING but interior work will be done to this car until the 3 tech head gets ordered. thats the big piece. but first i have some financial issues to tend to... for the right price i will buy certain items for this thing...

Question. since its been sitting for a while with a half tank of gas should i siphon it out or drop the tank??? i have the room to do it i just really don't feel like dealing with that pain in the you know what.

So with MUCH help from Geo Glen and Suzuki Steve i have some much needed parts for this car.

i now have the rear trim panel 3rd break lamp the over head lamp and my turn signal/headlamp switch.

i have only installed the parts on the hatch... i'm not fighting that steering wheel yet.

afer the few things with Sophia and i get a new computer... this project will take the front burner with funds and time. first thing is first... the engine, during this process speakers and head unit will be purchased

Also i need to figure out if i need different lug nuts for those pacer rims, the holes look too big in the rims... this coming from someone who deals with tires everyday

here's the deal... i will be dropping the bottom end because i wanna do it right and get the bottom end checked and bored if need be. plus i think the seals are bad in it.

i may do something a little on the wild side... but im not shure yet... more on that later

after

also i have been in the process of removing the interior to get a good wash and also while its tore down i will run wireing for my amp. get it all done right and done right the first time ^o)

Set of KYB GR2s and H&R springs are on the way thanks to Chads4drhatch.

going to remove the exaust and drop the bottom end then get a quote from a machene shop on how much it will be to check, clean, boar and assyemble the botom end, then i'm going to look at a preformance clutch and aluminum flywheel (if i can find one dunno if i should risk dealing with SRD's engine parts.)

and that should wrap up September.

i will update later and hopefully this porton will be done by october.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!!! im tired of putting this car on the back burner ive owned this thing for a year now. this week im droping my cash into a new computer, and then im going to do some calculateing and some f*#&ing work to this car.

i need to see how much this is gonna cost to make it the way i want it. with ACTUAL NUMBERS because i have changed some plans with it. i may need to take out a small loan of 2-3 grand to get this done. also i don't know how much it is gonna be to get the car tuned on a dyno for the Nitrous. its not gonna be a big shot 50hp max.

NOW i will be switching between the Geo basher and this car. this winter its gonna be cold with either car i work.

this is all stressing me out but i know i can push through it. sorry its taking so long guys :( i really had hoped this would be done by now.

i will be posting updates regularly. because while i work on saving up for BIG THINGS im gonna work on the pissy stuff. that don't take much money but a lot of time. like cleaning, audio ect.

**ADVISORY NO FILTER POST** and for the duration of this build their is no filter. so if you don't like language skip over the bad words, and clear the kidos out the room.

well boys 5 years later... the project continues LMFAO

i got tools and equipment now!! we gonna fuck shit up good!

so something i should have noticed with the engine 5 years ago was the head became garbage when the exhaust camshaft broke.. if you look back in the pictures you can see where after cyl 1 all the rest of the cam journals where off center of the lifter.. this is called Cam walk boys and girls and it went as far as to machine a nice grove into one of the pedestal and caps throwing tons of aluminum shavings into the head that i somehow did not see all these years... i think i was more focused on the split in two and attempted booger welded camshaft. also you may recall that just like the G10 these cams are bearing-less and every single cam cap and pedestal was marred to hell and back. we are talking about 1/32 groves cut. not to mention the intake cam and pedestals where fucked too so thanks to some members on here keeping a watchful eye on ebay, teamswift, and local craigslist i nabbed a good, fairly clean head that looks like someone kept up oil changes fairly often. and it has solid camshafts. Im going to go through the head, lifters, inspect valves and seats and do a gasket match port job and smooth the combustion chambers, Mill the head square if it needs it, then throw some cams at it that i will be getting from Z34

here is a few photos of the carnage. Photobucket is being a dick and isn't letting me upload 2 of the cam side so i guess 3/5 will work

cam walk at its finest!

NOW TO THE NEW SHIT!!
Posted Image
^^^ This is the good head I scored for $250 cams are out of it atm so i can trade+boot with Z34

this is where i left it all in November 2015.

a few more times i went in to dick with the car and it was too damn cold or i was working on my Dakota (next in line to get its engine pulled :shake )
now spring is coming upon us, vehicles are breaking, and maintenance season is upon us i'm trying to get everything done and have a shit ton of work on my plate so i will try to update everyone with the happenings as they go down... The Geo Metro 2.0 facebook page is where you will get up to date progress on my builds. but i hope to keep this fourm thread up even for documentation purposes.

and before anyone asks questions on the bottom end of the engine i'll tell you its fine. but i will update here soon with progress from a week or two ago...

thanks for reading, keep an eye out on this thread since i plan on giving updates at least twice a month on progress if not more. but if i cant please be patient as i said spring is comming i have a few small builds i need to take care of, Sophia needs some work before the gulf (watch that thread too) and the wife's car and Frankie need some attention as well. so it all boils down to the dollah but i would love to have it at least road worthy for Palooza but if not then oh well. time will tell i reckon.
