I use the 155/80/13 tire size on my 1999 chev/metro, when I bought this car it had the 175/70/13 tire size on it. I found out that on a light car such as the metro, the light car will hydro plane more easy when driving through water on the road with the more wide tire.

And when using snow tires I also use the 155/80/13 tire size.

I'd go for that, but they're not available for shipping to any Sears in my region !?!

Can't find Blizzaks anywhere around here either.

Anyone have experience with Dunlop Graspic DS-3's? I like the Dunlop brand a lot (Jeep & motorcycle have Dunlops at present).

Thanks!

Thanks to Ryan's Snow In Michigan post, I was reminded Gary needs a new pair of winter tires.

!
It only snows one month out of the year in MI.

We only have bad snow and ice for an aggregate of about a week a year (on average).

BUT, that week can be spread over 4 months unpredictably. AND, plenty of rain over 5 or so.

Looks like you have one of these in your town, go pick up some winterforces, buy 3 get 1 free @ $58 each. If you have your heart set on blizzaks they can get them too.

Thanks. Yep, that's probably what I'll end up doing--already use these guys for less than $20 oil changes on the bigger vehicles.

Blizzaks didn't show up with my zip, but haven't talked to them yet to see if they can be special ordered for reasonable money.

$58 ea is high for 13" winterforce--and was planning on just getting 2. Might have to change that to 4 and look for another set of rims this winter.

According to my local Firestone, Blizzaks have been discontinued in 13". They can't find any in the supply chain, either, so guess it will be Winterforce for me!

If any of you have access to 13" Blizzaks, you might want to consider getting them while you can. Should last for four years or so depending how long they're left on, how many dry miles, etc.
