Say I wanted to save the thread on lifters to a flash drive. How would I do that? I think it would nice to have the thread on a flash/jump drive so I could check the pictures and info out when I am somewhere with out the internet. Thanks in advance.

You need the Sony 2323K-43-767AZ "capture and save" system |

There are caching browsers available that can save sub-trees of websites so they work standalone. For example, the app "Offline Pages" for the iPad would do what you want and allow viewing. There are probably similar apps for phones like Android. |

...or you could do what Rooy suggested, its built into every browser that I've ever used, and will save the webpage complete. If you use Linux, you could also 'print' the page as a post script or pdf file very easily, in windows you would download one of the many free pdf printer utilities available. |

I've never found the save function to properly preserve formatting of pages. |

I just tried saving and viewing the lifters thread in Firefox and IE. Looks exactly the same as the original. |

Cool--that makes it simpler. My experiences are from a number of years ago now.

depends on the "active" content the page is comprised of. if there is lots of flash and scripts it might not load properly locally. this site is very "simple" comparatively speaking and should save quite nicely. to save "photo copies" of pages use firefox first and then install an addon calls "screen grab" very very nice :-) |
