You're a braver man than I am. The wife and I saw people camping out in a line in front of Target last night. Must have been 50 people. I don't care if they're giving away free stuff, my time is more valuable than that. Those people are insane. I mean, really, what do they think they are accomplishing? OH WELL, to each their own. I suppose I have wasted my time in less productive manners in the past. |

Some girl called me at 4 this morning and wanted me to go Black Friday shopping with her. She wouldn't exchange my time for a sexual favor, so I didn't go. hhaha

Overheard a lady that went to Toys R Us last night. She said the line waiting to get in was 2 blocks long, people were parking in the neighboring lots and running across lanes of traffic. Nuts nuts nuts! |

went with the wife last night. went into the local walmart (not a supercenter), packed house wall to wall people. got there just as they were taking off the wrapping on the 12am specials. what a mad house. you would have thought walmart was giving away free stuff the way people were grabbing and pawing at the stuff. i pushed my way thru the crowd literally pushed my way thru to get to the games. by the time i got there the games were all gone, with just a few laying on top. the few i saw were old games. we did find some clothes on sale for the kid. the line for the checkout was literally a crowd of people, possibly hours long. we cheated and went to the service desk with no line and checked out. toys r us was next. the line for the checkout was literally weaving thru the aisles all the way to the back of the store. we did some shopping until we found out the line for the checkout was hours long. i said screw that and left with the wife protesting in tow. we went home and went to bed. she's out this morning looking. good luck and safe shopping to all. just remember your 9mm. the crowds are chaos. |

Apparrently Black Friday is an uber-good day for taxi drvers--parking lots are overfilled. Why would people blow whatever they saved on cab fare? |

like omg, I spent $600 at Abercrombie and got a $300 gift card; for every hundred you spend, you get a $50 card. Free shipping at Hollister and Abercrombie today as well. North Face store has 30% off. Got drunk last night and don't remember all the bad things I allegedly did. |

All I can say is anyone of you that ventured out today or, worse yet, yesterday are far FAR braver than I. I spent my day yesterday at work listening to stories of people lining up outside these joints at 4pm. with pup tents. |

I was one of the crazy/stupid people last night. I don't think I'll ever do that again... Got to Target at about 10pm last night with a co-worker. We were about 12th in line. The wind was blistering cold, but thankfully we were just outside of the wind & could huddle against the building. I got a 40" TV for $281.98 & a queen size air mattress for for $1.56 after gift cards & 10% off. Some guy litterly dove onto the TVs, slid accross them & fell to the floor while grabbing one. It was a HUGE cluster in there...so glad it's over & I can feel my toes again. |

Wow! That's pretty crazy! There was only 1 cop at Target & he really didn't do much, but nothing really needed to be done thankfully. |

Nope, not for me. Saving money is important but more important to me is 'being content with little and free of inordinate desire.' I'll wait for film at 11.

VIDEO VIDEO VIDEO !!!! :-) I also waited till around 10am to go out. very civilized and calm around here. I did the 4am thing once never again once I found out they assholes have 3 or 4 of the "hot" items so if your not top 10 in line YOU AINT GETTING IT. :-) took 3 targets but I scored me some of them 2tb hard disks. 4 to be precise. they had one more left but I was out of cash. :-( $35 a TB. sadly had to goto philly freaking 8% sales tax now !! no wonder I hate philly :-) (locally 6%) anyway reminds of of something. This price is 100,000 times cheaper than it used to be. Literally. I remember when I got a 4mb ram upgrade for my 486. it was a big deal then and I got a GREAT price $35 a mb. at the time that was "insane" now I can get a 2tb hard disk for $69 or about $35 a Terabyte which is 1000 Gigabytes which is 1000 Megabytes or 100,000 times larger than that $35 stick of 1mb ram :-) WOW. just WOW. should take me about 1.25 years to fill these 8 TB's of hard disk space but likely 2tb is gone immediately as I dump disk material to the hard drive. so I will need more hard drives in about 1 year just in time for next years sale :-) figure comcast won't bother you at 250gb a month. I have 2 comcast connections (here and at work) so thats 500gb a month or 2 tb every 4 months. so 6tb a year :-) hehehe |

I almost got caught up in a big mess in a Hattiesburg MS Wal-mart a few years ago. The lines got so long that they blocked the cross store access. When people tired to get though, the people in line though they were cutting in or trying to jump the line. It did not make the good old boys and girls very happy. Some one pushed oped a fire exit and we got to hell out of there. I damn sure learned my lesson on that one.
