Nope, not for me. Saving money is important but more important to me is 'being content with little and free of inordinate desire.'

I'll wait for film at 11. :shake
:gp

I concur. It's kinda nice not buying into "McWorld" (although I did make a quick run to Harbor Freight for an air ratchet...)

I spent over 20 years on "the other side of the counter" on the Day After Thanksgiving...that was enough for me!

One more little tidbit...During the Roosevelt administration, Thanksgiving was moved a week earlier...to start the Christmas shopping season sooner!

Got 70 MPG?

I got a TomTom GPS for $79 and NFS Hot Pursuite for $35. That was enough for me. I've gone the past 3 or 4 years, people around here are more tame than what you all describe, so it's not that big of a deal here, it's just packed to the gills when you walk in the store at 4:30 am.

I bought me an 8 pc craftsman ratchet wrench set for $30 and my gf bought "the pacific" box set at aafes for $27. Any good deals on torque wrenches tomorrow morning?

Insanity manifests itself in many ways. Black Friday is one of them.

I headed out of town at 5 this morning to go hunting and it was tough getting across the busy streets because the main streets are flashing yellow til 6:30AM and they were packed. Walmart parking lot was packed full. Sure was glad to get to the mountains to do some snowmobiling and hunting.

I went last year to get some PS3 deal they had going on. My friend and I each got one, 'sold' them in the store for 60 bucks a piece, and went home.

'sold' = We went up to a guy that wanted one and didn't get there soon enough, told him for 60 bucks we'd let him have one. Did that twice. haha

Please just call me; "Schultz"

My wife works the customer service counter at Target, she had to be at work by 3:30am.
They had some incredible deals on electronics yesterday morning.
She said the line wrapped around the store when she got there, and when the doors opened, people were sprinting to the back of the store to get the 35 inch, flat panel TV that was on sale for $199.99.
You're a better man than I, Gunga Din.

Several years ago, I waited in line from about 4 am till open. We did it for the fun of it. No regrets...interesting time. I think more than saving money, it's (Black Friday madness) has become a tradition more or less.
This year....we'll me and the family are pretty set...nothing really tickled our fancy so we just stayed in...enjoying our company.
Hope everyone had a good T Day weekend!
