I was already looking at the E36 M3, but I don't know if I like the maintenance costs.

So, why do you want to spend 9k on a sports car, anyway? For driving to work?

You could probably rent a decent sports car for the weekend now and then for waay cheaper than actually owning one.

9k is already in a car, i'm trading from a gas guzzling truck.

Actually, it's like 13k or something in the car, but i've had it for several years.

Been there, done that. My turbo took a dump at 100k

1200 bucks new. 350 rebuilt.

Good luck finding a WRX that hasn't been 'upgraded' by some pimple faced idiot Fubu model with a set of playschool tools.

Replacing a turbo on a WRX isn't too bad, just time consuming. These are fun cars and perform really well but they just aren't worth the hassle/money IMHO.

The other thing I hated about that car was that every time I pulled out of the driveway (I MEAN EVERY TIME) some Stridex spokesperson emerged from his parents' basement to attempt to force me into a stoplight drag race with his Civic. Usually the Civics in question were scraping the ground with their coffee can mufflers, blinding me with their clear taillight lenses and deafening me with their horrible music that sounds like dolphins being raped.

Yep, I don't miss any of that shit.

Suggested alternative:

Metro + Motorcycle + Minivan < $9k

All get better than 25mpg, insurance for all is less than sporticar (Esp. Male under 25)

More adrenaline, more haulage, more GMF!

(do know what I'm talking about on this one!)

Go Ducks!
