The 2010 FZR1000 looks really, really nice iplaybass. :rocker

I asked this before and, as I understand it, for the $500 that Darrin spends on insurance, not all of it goes into an insurance agent's or company’s pockets. Some of it is used for public driving safety and driver education. Kind of like a road tax.

My insurance for the truck is $1100 a year-no comp or collision. It's a business policy because of what I do for a living, but I also live in one of the most expensive places for insurance in the country. I am dreading what the Metro will cost me because of the lack of safety devices. Before you start thinking the high price is due to tickets, it isn't. I haven't had a ticket or accident in at least 5 years.

What? Here in NC, commercial policies can very easily be cheaper than personal policies under many circumstances.

Umm....no. Non-commercial insurance is still $900-1,000 a year for me. Florida is VERY expensive to buy insurance in because of all the hurricane damage a few years back. Supposedly the insurance companies are still trying to recoup their losses from 2005 ( I call bullshit, but whatever.)

I dunno, I still remember the video footage of the leftovers of the 2005 season, I'd believe it. I went to check and see if my memory might be playing tricks on me. Nope http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2005_Atlantic_hurricane_season it really WAS that bad :(

The ~500 bucks for the ForkenSwift is insurance + licence (about $70 for the plates each year).

So that ~$430 is for a second vehicle, basic policy, liability only. None of it goes to public programs/driver training (that I know of).

As you can see, insurance in Ontario is very expensive. I shopped around quite a bit to get that rate.

Don't know if it's true, but a couple years ago my son's driving instructor told the class that insurance costs in BC are the most expensive in the western hemisphere. He took that to mean they are the worst drivers (collectively)! :)

Thats about right woodie now how much for the SECOND car ? its usually very very cheap to add a second car to a policy many times around $100 because its 1 driver 2 cars.

That WAS second car. My Aerio costs $800 a year, driven about 5,000 miles.
