Mrs. dayle1960 says "that's pathetic".

I would a least expect a little initiative on everyone's part for Christmas. Get in the spirit and find a Charlie Brown twig and put a birthday party bow on it if you don't have decorations.

Come on man.

Good one! mjspiess .

Yep, no tree for us either, Coche Blanco. We live in the mountains. Those things are everywhere, blocking the view.

Now they are even "flocked" with snow flakes. For that matter, the streets are flocked, the houses and my car get flocked almost every day with that... stuff. :banghead

I'm from SoCal and grew up with an aluminum tree with blue bulbs and a color wheel. :thumb B-)

Thanks! I thought it was pretty funny and thought I'd share a laugh.

Mrs. dayle1960 should know this is purely a joke, although it will probably stay up through Christmas & we won't be putting up a Christmas tree this year or probably in the future. My mother inlaw insisted we get one last year for our "first Christmas", so she gave us a little 2' table top one that we put up for the weekend she visited us, but took it down afterward. We just don't get all caught up in all the decorating...for any holidays. It's such a waste of time & money, not to mention clutter we have no space for. Besides, if we're going to spend time & money on Christmas, it's going to be on gifts & a nativity scene which we do have & will set up.

Merry Christmas to those with a sense of humor! And to those who don't have one, I hope it's on your wish list!

Mjspiess, please don't get to ruffled. I now understand your sentiments. I didn't even think it might have been a joke. I too think that Christmas is too commercialized and we all should look toward what this season is about. I wish your family the best Chrismas ever.

God Bless.

Nah, I rarely take things personally. I just enjoy a good laugh & thought this was pretty funny. Christmas & holidays are way too commercialized. It's sad and cracks me up at the same time on how much people spend on decorations and completely forget or have no clue what Christmas is all about. I hope your Christmas goes well and may God bless you & your family...and your Metro!
