175/70r13 is a stock size. I've been using the Kuhmo Eco Solus on my cars, they seem to do pretty good. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Kumho&tireModel=eco+Solus+HM+KR22&partnum=77TR3KR22&vehicleSearch=true&fromCompare1=yes&autoMake=Geo&autoYear=1996&autoModel=Metro&autoModClar= |

Thanks. Glad to be here. I've been reding about everything on here for about 3 months now and I figured I might as well become a member haha. I've seen so really nice and really crazy looking metros. I love them even though all my friends make fun of me for it. But I'm saving money while there not :). |

155/80-13 was the stock size, 175/70-13 is the exact same diameter but a bit wider for better handling. A much better choice for the car than what came on it. |

To answer your question, not really. ![]() The 13" tire would be 7.6% taller than yours. |

That sounds about right, and it's the tallest ratio a three cylinder ever got. If you think you can do with a bit less power, get the 13" wheels and tires off a newer Metro. It will bring the rpms down a bit and improve highway mileage. |
