Yes, allmountain40, it's a WRX roof scoop and it works! I don't have A/C so I added a 6 position RV style vent and tossed the roof scoop on for "style". :-/ :D I use it to cool off my dog in the back seat. :)

BTW, adding an Air Dam has one drawback: getting the floor jack aligned with the lift point in the front. :smackface

I align it in the middle of the car and peek around the side to see if it's aligned fore/aft. If I want to use a block of 2x4 wood for more height I have to align the jack and add the wood by twisting my arm under the Air Dam.

Yes, there are times I will see something in the road and I have to drive over it, so I do so in a way that won't damage my header but it breaks off an Air Dam clip or two, that take 15 min. to bolt back on when I get home. I'm good for 4"-6" of snow clearance except on rutted roads. :banghead

Just a thought... If you don't mind the "L" bracket idea, you could mount the "L" on the Air Dam material (sounds dignified, eh :lol ) then make slots in the bumper so you can mount it with a bolt/washer and when you hit something the bolt will release by sliding out the slot(?). bumper is pretty thick. The only issue would be if the whole air dam came off you'd run over it and might have to buy new Air Dam material. ;) We have seen pics of spare (junk) bumpers turned upside, trimmed, and bolted to the bumper. And those truck bug deflectors could be modified to work also. :hmm

You use a jack? I just reach down, lift, insert jack stand. :cheers

Thanks for the suggestion, Cobb. :thumb

I can trace my chronic dislocated vertebra back to when I was maybe 13 years old and helped my Dad roll/lift a 100 lb. rock for a landscaping project. :x

BUT I have not wanted to test the Styrofoam bumper to see how much weight it would support or if it would stay attached for a lift. :-/
