I was at first just going to see if someone might have a part I need but then I thought about it and thought there might be a need for this thread so I just done it this way. I am currently working on a old old generator that has a onan engine on it. Someone has busted the float pin tang off and therefore needs a carburator. Well I have a old clinton engine around that the carburator would work for it is the same style. I am curious if any of our members works on small engines as I do and might have a big supply of old old engines you cannot get parts for anymore that might have a clinton engine with a old carburator you might consider selling. If so pm me and I will discuss further exactly the style carburator I need. Thanks.

I made so much money from 15-18 years old fixing/reselling lawnmowers. I could probably help if enginedoc is away.

Simple to work on and during grass cutting season there is lots of money to be made for the small engine shops stay so backed up usually its weeks before they can even look at your equipment.

Used to have a huge small engine shop setup at my house about 15 yrs ago. When I moved you wouldn't believe the stuff I junked. Just started setting it out to the curb & people were just about fighting over it all. Engines, frames, wheels, blocks, the works. Loved those old Clinton engines. Couldn't kill em. Wish they still made the old Yazoo lawn mowers that had the Clintons on them.

Yeah those clinton engines were built when they really built them tough, steel blocks and all. I am running one on a old tiller and have a spare off a yazoo mower but the carb is trashed on it so I am trying to run down another. The real yazoo mowers were good mowers for sure.

No, they had four wheels. Two large wheels on the back and two small on the front. Would cut grass taller than your head~

I use to run an outdoor power equipment shop that sold Snapper, Scag, Exmark, Stihl, Husqvarna and Troy Built among others. I still work on chain saws and other 2 stroke engines in my spare time. I really enjoy it still but hate working on lawn mowers.

I work on , collect, restore, and use Cub Cadets! They were tanks. I'm not talking about the new crap they are selling at TSC or Home Depot. These are 60's and 70's built. That's why they are getting harder to find around here everybody uses the for 1/4 scale tractor pulling. If you look at all the pullers 98% are Cubs under the John Deere paint or whatever. I don't pull much. I mainly use them as intended to mow, till, or plow snow. :cheers :cheers Happy New Year!!

My friends and I put an 18hp twin cylnder Briggs on a old Murray, changed the pulleys, and sprayed it with nitrous. It ran 10.xx @60mph through the 1/8th mile. It was a fun ride with the stock steering and brakes! I am ready to turbo one now. That Briggs ate a lot of N2o and a lot of RPM but we never had any problems out of it.

I just sold one about a year ago. Had a 12hp or 10hp kohler cant remember which. Had it for years, would have kept it, if I lived somewhere where room was no consideration and had me a few pole barns. Didnt really need it but it was history. Let it go for a song. International Harverster did make them things heavy built! I think if I recall this was a model 205. I could be wrong.
