I haven't seen enough skeletonized car frames to know any better... but how difficult would it be to simply remove the frame horns and steering gear from a metro and replace with like equipment from another car?

I think the Toyota Carolla is listed somewhere as the best selling car in North America. Would that mean that I would have more of those to scavenge parts from.

It would probably be hell to have people try and figure out how to maintain a Geo Metro with Toyota front end suspension, steering and tires without clear documentation if you ever sell it.

Keep me on the top of your list for the part. Let me know when you have it and I will send out USPS money order right away. Money is set aside for this. I will get mine ready so all I will have to do is install and weld new one on.

This is a great idea!! I just wish there was someone out there that made these so we don have to cut up Metros to get them. I guess one that has been rolled is a good candidate.

How 'bout it blacksmiths?!?! How hard would it be to make these?

See the thread by Turbo Dan-0. He offers "I do fabrication, welding, and I am set up with a very talented machinist. What are some things that would be good to make for our cars that are not available now? Give me some ideas!"
