Does every one have trouble with their side mirrors coming loose? I did on my geo metro and apparently the previous owner of my metro lsi did too because he put a screw in each one of them from the outside which barely holds them in place and it looks horrible. How do you get them off to fix them where they will stay good and tite?

Ok which part of the mirror is coming loose? The part that is attached to the door itself or the body of the mirror mounted on the pedestal? (if thats what its called)

A pic of the part would help a lot ...

Yes, a picture would help.

There is a panel on the inside of the car that can be removed to get to the mounting screws. Click on; www.genmotorinfo.com/Outside+Rearview+Mirrors

take the trim piece off the door where the back side of the the mirror mounts then take the 3 Philips screws out of the backside of the mirror and Voila mirror off, inspect for damage to the mounting sleeves put the screws back in, and tighten them... go out side and shake the mirror... if it dosent loosen up wit a good ammount of shakeing then it should be ok

if not drive to the hardware store, take the mirror in, and find some longer and possibly thicker screws, and stuff in them... oval headed sheet metal screws should work great.

i think with the Philips screws in the mirrors, Suzuki screwed up (ha ha get it) on that. seeing as most mirrors have studs (witch i think are bull :shit too) or inserts for bolts (their ya go!)

If you are referring to the glass part losing adjustment constantly, then I think you have to either replace them or try and pop the glass and housing away from the case and see if you can make the worn ball and socket tighter.
